We wanted to see Krautsemmel and here it is. Basically sauerkraut (that was very delicately spiced and a bit sweet) wrapped in light, crunchy layers of strudel dough. Agata was the brave one, and I think it paid off. This would be interesting to try to make at home.
Ursula and Stefan ordering. We played games at their house on Tuesday, mostly math-oriented games and a few bedeviling puzzle games (including one that will haunt me to my grave).
Blurry photo of what I ordered: Kasnock'n with a side salad--scrumptious! I couldn't finish it, so I took the rest with me. My colleagues said it would be a good meal warmed up in a microwave the next day, maybe with a side salad. But, as is the case with most leftovers that are truly delicious, I scarfed them down promptly after getting home. Yum. :)

Happy birthday, Sam! Sam is an English gent in town for a special week-long workshop with the elementary school students. Unfortunately, Sam leaves tomorrow, so there will be no time to get to know him better. He laughed at all of my jokes, so naturally, I loved him. :)

Another shot of Sam's birthday cake!
